JRC strategy
Our revitalised Strategy 2030 aims to bring added value through our work. We work to anticipate what will be important for EU policies. We integrate science and knowledge into legislation. Our work intends to have positive impact for people in Europe (and beyond).
In this revitalised Strategy 2030, we have sought to reset, re-imagine and re-energise the JRC with a value proposition rooted in anticipation, integration and impact. We offer expanded foresight capacities, a more systemic approach in the frame of cross-cutting portfolios, and support to policymakers to maximise and measure impact. In the spirit of trust, collaboration and transparency, we signal our increased openness to engaging with partners to put science at the service of the European project.
JRC Work Programme 2025-2027
The work programme is built around better prioritisation, scientific excellence, and the core strengths of the JRC – anticipation, integration and impact. It integrates the JRC's work across scientific and policy domains, and builds links between the different scientific and policy areas inside the Commission and beyond.
JRC portfolios
The 25 portfolios serve as the main building blocks of our work programme, fostering an integrated approach across scientific and policy domains. They support the seven Commission priorities for 2024 -2029, contributing to EU policies for a positive impact on society.
Through the work of its 25 portfolios, the JRC Work Programme 2025-2027 supports the political priorities of the European Commission. The brochure includes information on the Work Programme and the scope and objectives of the 25 individual portfolios.
JRC Highlights Report 2024
The JRC Highlights Report 2024 focuses on the impact of key JRC contributions in 2024 and celebrates these achievements with external stakeholders directly involved. It shines the spotlight on 11 highlights, as well as providing key facts and figures for the organisation.
