Some regions face drought-related challenges, while others benefit from favourable weather, leading to varied yield forecasts that require close monitoring of future weather conditions
Fair to good yields are still expected in most countries. Southern Europe has benefited from abundant rainfall, improving crop yield prospects. However, the lack of rainfall and dry soils in central and northern Europe, in countries such as France, Germany, and Poland, are raising concern.

Winter crops in large parts of Europe have started regrowth in good condition, but need more rainfall

Heavy rainfall hampered crops in north-western France. Precipitation deficit raises concerns in central and eastern Europe. Drought has again thwarted yield expectations in the western and central Maghreb.

Dry autumn overall favourable for winter cereals

average to above-average temperatures and drier-than-usual conditions helped farmers to accelerate sowing, and were favourable for the initial development of recently sown crops.

Frequent and heavy rainfall in large parts Europe negatively affected crops and hampered field operations.

While the yield outlook for summer crops worsened in central and eastern Europe, yield expectations improved in western regions.

Difficult end of season for winter crops in the north

Water excess in the west; hot and dry in the east
