Description

Join us on 13 June for the presentation of the first JRC Outlook report on Generative AI!
The emergence of GenAI brings both opportunities and challenges: Europe needs to make the most of it, allowing GenAI-powered innovation and competitiveness to flourish while respecting European values. Achieving this balance requires up-to-date, reliable evidence: some of the risks and opportunities of GenAI are well known, but others are yet to be uncovered.
The JRC is currently investigating them, looking ahead and anticipating issues that might require policy action in the future. As part of this effort, the Outlook Report on Generative AI provides an overview of the current state of play of the technology, and provides insights for European policy-making on economic, social, and regulatory implications of this technology.
The report touches upon key areas of employment, skills, rights, industry and the environment among others. It ties to the Commission's vision of making Europe an AI Continent, and the need to ensure that the EU is accelerating the adoption of digital technologies to drive innovation and productivity, as presented in the Competitiveness Compass initiative.
Don't miss the opportunity to hear all about it from experts and policymakers, and join the debate!
